If you feel like recharging your batteries by spending time in nature, this 2-hour horse riding experience in the province of Perugia is perfect for you!
Familiarise yourself with the horse and learn how to give it a few simple commands with the advice of an equestrian guide, then set off on a 1.20-hour ride in the magnificent Umbrian countryside.
At the end of the activity you will feel reborn. Try it to believe!
What we will do
We will meet at the agriturismo in Rasiglia, a hamlet in the municipality of Foligno (PG). Here we will meet our equestrian guide who, after an initial welcome, will begin the activity.
The first 40 minutes of the experience will be devoted toapproaching the horse. We will become familiar with our valiant steed by offering him an apple or a carrot and watching the guide groom and saddle him. Then we will mount him on his back and learn to hold the reins by doing a few trial rides in a sandbox.
Afterwards we will set off on a walk of about one hour and 20 minutes, also suitable for first-time riders. It will be a fun experience, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the beautiful Umbrian countryside and discover the fascinating world of horse riding!
We will set off at the pass and ride through Morro, another mountain hamlet of Foligno, heading towards the woods that surround it. We will enter it and ride along 5.3 kilometres of forest trails with a maximum altitude difference of 6%.
The activity will last about 2 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for ages 14 and up. Children under the age of 18 may participate if accompanied by a responsible adult.
Other information
The activity is available all year round and will be confirmed when a minimum of 2 participants are reached .
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport , but there is plenty of parking space nearby.
American-style riding will be used during the activity. The guide will lead on horseback.
Any accompanying persons with dogs on a leash can wait at the farm.
