Are you looking for an adventure that lets you discover the history of fascinating Sicily? This one is just right for you!
Starting from Sciacca, you can reach the ghost town of Poggioreale on a 4x4 tour and visit the remains and monuments that keep Sicilian memory alive, such as Burri's Cretto.
If we have intrigued you. .. all you have to do is hop aboard a Land Rover Defender and drive off!
What we will do
We will meet at the meeting point in Sciacca (AG), where the driver who will guide us through this experience will be waiting for us.
After a 10-minute briefing, during which the itinerary of the activity will be explained to us, we will board a Land Rover Defender and begin the tour.
We will venture on an off-road route, not accessible with normal vehicles and without the help of professionals. We will reach Poggioreale, a ghost town destroyed by the earthquake of 1968, and pass through its remains, which bear witness to this chapter in Sicilian history.
We will then proceed through enchanting countryside landscapes and stop at Burri's Cretto, a monumental work of land art that was erected in memory of the earthquake event.
Each stop will last about 20 minutes, which the guide will use to show us the best vantage points from which to take some photos. In addition, during the tour we will be offered a delicious sweet or savoury snack (included) , depending on availability.
Once the tour is over, we will return to the starting point. The activity will last a total of 4 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 4. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

The vehicle used for the activity is accessible to wheelchair users or those with walking difficulties. However, some short treks with non-accessible routes are planned during the itinerary. Participation is therefore possible but not all the planned stages will be reached.
