Full description
If you are looking for a fun, original, exciting activity suitable for everyone, a group hot-air balloon flight is the activity for you. Let yourself be carried away by the wind over the skies over Friuli and enjoy the beautiful landscape below.
Flying in complete safety accompanied by our expert pilots, you can look out from the wicker basket and admire the panorama of the Fagagna hills, a place where absolute serenity reigns, amidst the green meadows and the medieval castles that embellish the small villages on the heights. And in the background the Alps, whose grandeur surrounds the area, creating a natural basin that is home to numerous wild animal species.
Live the experience in complete tranquillity and enjoy the feeling of touching the sky with your finger, which only a hot-air balloon flight can provide. Be amazed by the shades of the sky at sunset and the sun disappearing behind the silhouette of the mountains.
What we will do
We will meet in Plasencis, a few kilometres from Udine. There we will form the group and help the crew prepare the balloon. As soon as the air inside the balloon has warmed up, we will be ready to take off.
We will fly carried by the wind, at its speed and direction, in the area above the hills of Fagagna, where numerous medieval castles stand. We will notice the harmony with which the gentle hills merge with the high mountains, we will breathe in the pure, uncontaminated air of those places, and if we are lucky, during the flight we will be able to encounter various birds and birds of prey that live in that area.
Upon landing, we will refit the hot air balloon together with the ground crew, who will then take us back to our starting point.
The activity lasts about two and a half hours in total, including one hour of actual flight time.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is of an easy level and suitable for everyone, from 8 years old and up. The only restrictions are for pregnant women and people with serious heart problems or limited mobility in their lower limbs.
Other information
Attention. You must arrive at the meeting point approximately 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
Important: flight times vary depending on the time of year and weather conditions, as does the take-off point in exceptional cases. A few days before the activity, you will receive an email from the pilot confirming the time and address. Always check the email before you leave!
The activity takes place on the dates indicated in the calendar, and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 6 participants.
Recommended clothing
Comfortable, seasonal clothing (in flight, the temperature does not vary significantly from the ground but it is always recommended to dress in layers).

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
