Full description

Taking the controls of an aeroplane and dominating the skies while watching the world from above is the dream of many, young and old. Today you can make it come true by giving yourself, or as a gift, a flying lesson atPavullo Airport, near Modena.

It will be aunique experience that will allow you to fly over the skies of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. You will become a pilot for a day and, together with an expert instructor who will fly alongside you, you will discover the secrets of aviation.

Get ready to experience one of the most sensational moments ever, because the breathtaking views you will see from above and the thrill of piloting an aeroplane yourself will be truly unforgettable. Ready for take-off?

What we will do

The experience begins at the flight school atPavullo nel Frignano Airport (MO) with a short classroom lesson. The instructors will provide you with hints of flight theory, notions about aircraft, controls and on-board instrumentation. After that, you will begin the practical session where you will test what you have learnt and finally realise your dream.

The flight will last approximately 30 minutes and will be carried out in a small twin-controlled touring plane, where you will fly together with theinstructor and, with his or her assistance, you will try to take command by experiencing the manoeuvres first-hand. The landing will be followed by a debriefing, a recap of the experience where you will be able to ask questions and receive your 'baptism of the air'certificate.

The activity lasts a total of 1 hour, but you can spend the whole day at thePavullo Aero Club, watching the activities of the students of the pilot training school or devoting yourself to other activities. In fact, the aero club is a place full of leisure time possibilities, surrounded by mountain-bike trails and paths for walks in the surrounding woods. There are also guided tours and itineraries to numerous places of interest in the vicinity (not included in the participation fee).

Who it is aimed at

This activity is at an easy level and open to all healthy people aged 6 years and over (for minors, signed authorisation from the parent or guardian is required).

Other information

Attention! Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time of the activity.

Flights are strictly weather-related: in case of bad weather, it will not be possible to fly and the activity will have to be rescheduled.

The exact flight time will be confirmed to you by the instructor a few days before the activity. A minimum of flexibility on the timetable is required as the aero club serves as a base for the 118 helicopter, and in the event of an emergency, activities are temporarily interrupted.

Important: the day before the scheduled date, please call or text the pilot to confirm the activity (you will receive contact details once you have made your booking).

All activities that are not specifically related to flying (guided tours, itineraries, use of aero club facilities, etc.) are not included in the participation fee, must be agreed with the organiser after booking and, if paid for, must be settled on site.
