Full description
Discover underwater life by swimming on the seabed of the Island of Elba like a real diver; with a bit of luck you'll be able to swim alongside dolphins!
In the company of a professional instructor, you will explore the underwater world around Cavo in complete safety. You don't need a licence, all you need is a lot of curiosity and a desire to have fun.
After the dive a tasty snack awaits you to recover your energy and celebrate your first, and certainly not last, dive.
What we will do
We will meet in Cavo, a hamlet in the municipality of Rio on the Island of Elba. We will meet at 14:15 in order to begin the experience punctually at 15:00.
The first phase will consist of a theory lesson with the instructor during which we will learn the basics of the underwater discipline. In the meantime, we will be given theequipment and explained step by step how to get dressed.
We will then board the rubber dinghy and head to the designated spot for our sea baptism. During the navigation we will be able to admire the wonderful landscape that the Island of Elba offers us, and with a bit of luck we may encounter dolphins greeting us with acrobatics.
Once we arrive at the dive site, the crew will help us put on all our equipment. Once in the water, each of us will be accompanied by an instructor with whom we will explore the seabed and admire the marine life that continues its course a few metres below the surface.
We will reach a maximum depth of 6 metres as per teaching standards. As the minutes go by, we will feel more and more at ease in the underwater world and our desire to explore and discover species of life that we would not have had the chance to see by staying on the surface will grow.
At the end of the experience, we will return to the surface. We will shed our equipment and can snorkel and relax on board the dinghy while enjoying the snack the staff will have brought for us. The experience lasts a total of four hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is open to everyone from the age of 15. No special skills are needed, just the ability to swim and good physical condition.
Other information
The activity takes place every day from March to October and is confirmed when there are at least 3 participants.
You must arrive 45 minutes before the time agreed upon at the time of booking.
You may request a personalised video of the experience at an extra cost to be paid on site.
It is strongly discouraged to dive 24 hours before an aeroplane flight, as, due to the lower atmospheric pressure on board the plane, nitrogen, which may have remained in the body, may form bubbles within the tissues that can obstruct blood flow.
