Discover ski mountaineering, a fascinating sport that has been very much in vogue in recent years, which will allow you to live your passion for the mountains to the full.
With our basic course , you can learn the secrets of this discipline from a qualified instructor and, at the same time, explore the wonderful winter landscapes of the Germanasca Valley.

What we will do
The meeting is at 8.30 a.m. at the ski school in Prali, in the province of Turin, where we will meet our ski-mountaineering instructor.
After a quick briefing on the activity and compulsory safety equipment, our first lesson will begin. In fact, the basic course will be divided into 5 lessons (one per week on either Monday, Friday or Saturday).
During the course, we will learn descent techniques on the various types of snow (fresh, wet, crusty, lumpy, powdery...), we will learn to gain confidence off the beaten track, and we will discover the secrets of enjoying skiing after fatigue. All of this while paying special attention to safety and the use of the obligatory equipment for this activity (shovel, artva and probe).
We will enjoy the most beautiful ascents and descents of the Germanasca Valley, starting out together and reaching an altitude of around 600/700 metres, and then focusing on descent techniques. If climbing in fact requires training, descending requires technique!
The return is scheduled for around 13.30. The last lesson will be at night, from 17.00 to 22.00, when we will be able to enjoy the mountain in the magnificent setting of the sunset.
The activity lasts 5 hours (for 5 days).

The basic ski mountaineering course will take place on the dates indicated in the calendar (to be updated).
Theitinerary may vary depending on daily weather conditions. The instructor will assess in advance which route to take in order to offer the best possible experience.
It is possible to hire the complete equipment after booking, by contacting the facility directly.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
