Canyoning at the Forra del Salto

In the Forra del Salto, a gorge framed by the peaks of Monte Velino, you can enjoy a fun canyoning experience.

You will try your hand at a route inside the Salto river , which, flowing through the rocks, has created a real natural water park, such as waterfalls to rappel down beside and walls from which to dive into pools of transparent water.

Get ready for an incredible adventure in a fairytale natural setting, where you can reconnect with nature and test your skills on incredibly fun natural attractions . On the way, look around, a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding peaks will accompany you on your adventure!

What we will do

We will meet in Pescorocchiano at 9.30 am. When we are all there we will get back into the cars and in 10 minutes we will reach the starting point of our canyoning trip.

Here we will be given the equipment and have a short briefing on the activity and the safety rules to be adopted. With a 15-minute walk downhill we will arrive at the attack of the gorge where we will get dressed and complete the briefing.

We willenter the Salto River and after a few metres the first ab seil down a 3-metre wall will be waiting for us. This will be followed byanother short ab seil after which we will climb an exposed passage secured with a lanyard.

We will reach a beautiful waterfall near which we will launch ourselves onto the zipline. Along the way, we will meet a second waterfall about 15 metres high where we will abseil with the rope instead.

Finally, the last two jumps of about 4 metres high await us: we can choose whether to tackle them by abseiling or diving.

When we reach the end of the gorge, we will walk a little more in the river to enjoy the last moments in the fresh water, in a wonderful natural setting.

Once out of the stream, the ascent back to the starting point will await us, a walk which will take about 45 minutes.

The experience will last about 5 hours in total, including briefings and transfers; it will end around 14:30.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is also suitable for beginners from the age of 14. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

You must be in good health and have good mobility.

Other information

The experience takes place from April to July on the dates indicated in the calendar and is confirmed when there are at least 5 participants. If your group consists of at least 5 people and you would like to do the experience on a different date, please contact us privately and we will do our best to meet your needs.

After confirming your booking, you will need to contact your guide to inform him/her of your weight, height and shoe size.

Themeeting time may vary slightly to allow for the best time in the morning; the guide will contact you if the time differs from the one communicated in the booking confirmation e-mail.

Valuables can be stored in a watertight bin that we will carry with us during the experience.

Recommended clothing

• Swimwear (men are advised to wear briefs)
• Wet trainers with a sculpted sole
