Full description
Staying perfectly balanced on the board and cutting through the waves by mastering the force of the wind: windsurfing is all this and much more. It is a water sport characterised by a wider surf, to give you greater stability, and shorter surf, so that you can perform manoeuvres safely and without too much difficulty.
With the basic course, you will learn the basics of windsurfing and the most important movements, and how to read sea conditions to understand when it is appropriate to challenge them and when it is better to avoid them. The course consists of 5 lessons of one and a half hours each.

What we will do
The appointment is in Capoliveri, in the province of Livorno. We will be welcomed by an expert instructor who will also put the necessary equipment for the course at our disposal.
The lessons will be structured in a theoretical part in which we will simulate going out onto the water and in a practical one, which will take place at sea to test what we have acquired. We will learn nomenclature, departure and all the main manoeuvres such as the basic jibe and tack. We will also be taught the correct way to carry equipment.
The place where we will follow the lessons is sheltered from the prevailing winds in the area, the Sirocco and the Mistral. This will allow us to go out into the sea safely using modern surfboards that are wider and shorter, thus being more manageable.
There are 5 lessons and they last 1.5 hours each.
Who it is aimed at
The course is suitable for everyone and requires no special physical preparation. The minimum age for participation is 8 years.
Other information
The course is available from June to September, weather permitting.
Lessons can be held on consecutive or non-consecutive days. After the first lesson, you will agree with the instructor when to take the next lesson.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
