They say that the Gargano is the Spur of Italy. We add that it is also its most spectacular corner... especially seen from the sea!
Set off from Rodi Garganico for a day's dinghy sailing with a skipper, among majestic caves, hidden bays, refreshing dives and an aperitif on board.
From Capo Vieste to Baia delle Zagare, every view will make you fall even more in love with Puglia!
What we will do
The rendezvous is 15 minutes before 9 a.m. at the meeting point in Rodi Garganico (FG).
We will be met by the skipper, who will welcome us on board a comfortable, spacious dinghy. Once the group is formed, we will set off on our excursion along the Gargano coast.
During the tour we will visit some of the most fascinating sea caves in the area, such as the Grotta Sfondata, the Grotta dei Due Occhi, the Grotta Campana, the Grotta dei Pipistrelli and the Grotta dei Pomodori, entering them with the dinghy when permitted.
There will be no shortage of opportunities to dive: the skipper will select several coves for swimming and snorkelling stops, which can be Baia San Felice, dominated by the famous Architiello, Caletta Sanguinara, Porto Greco, Porto Piatto di Vignanotica, and the marvellous Baia delle Zagare, framed by its stacks. Each stop will last approximately 15-20 minutes and will be chosen according to weather and sea conditions.
Around 13:00 we will stop in a sheltered bay for a picnic lunch on board, lasting about an hour. In the afternoon we will continue exploring the coastline until almost Mattinata, and then return to Rodi Garganico, with one or two more bathroom stops along the way.
A light aperitif with local products and prosecco wine will be served during the tour.
Return to the port of Rodi Garganico is scheduled for 18:00. The activity will last a total of 9 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable from the age of 2; children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent. A maximum of 3 children may participate per excursion.
The boat is not wheelchair-accessible, but staff can offer boarding support to people with minimal mobility.
For safety reasons, pregnant women are not allowed to participate.

The activity takes place from June to September and is confirmed with a minimum number of 6 participants.
Theitinerary and stops may vary depending on weather and sea conditions.
The excursion takes place on board 9- or 10-metre rubber dinghies, both equipped with awning, shower, convenient ladder, sundeck, changing cabin, toilet and refrigerator: please select the type of dinghy you prefer when booking. You stay barefoot on board.
Dogs are not allowed on board.
Alternatives cannot be guaranteed in case of allergies or food intolerances.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport; parking is available on site for a fee.
