Sailing day on Lake Garda with lunch

This crew is looking for you!

Take part in our sailing day: in the company of a skipper, you will sail in the beautiful natural setting of Lake Garda between Desenzano del Garda and Sirmione. You can enjoy the view, dive in during swimming breaks or actively participate in life on board, feeling like a member of a real 'crew'.

And if it takes strength to hoist the sails, you will find it in theaperitif, lunch and snack served on board!

What we will do

The appointment is at the selected time at the meeting point in Desenzano del Garda (BS). We will find the skipper waiting for us, who will welcome us on board his sailboat.

After all participants have boarded, a short introduction on life on board and the rules of sailing will take place. Those who wish will be able to help the skipper untie the rope and prepare the boat for setting sail: we will sail to Sirmione, which we will reach after about 1 to 2 hours. During the navigation it will be possible to relax or actively participate in life on board: we will be able to try hoisting the sails and take the helm, like a real 'crew'. In the meantime, an aperitif (included) of assorted snacks accompanied by alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks will be served.

Once we reach the scenic Sirmione Castle, we will circumnavigate the peninsula and head towards the Grotte di Catullo and Jamaica Beach, near which we will drop anchor to enjoy the view or take a swim in the sulphurous water flowing from the nearby Boiola spring. Weather permitting, snorkelling equipment and SUP boards are also available for guests to continue exploring off-board!

We will return on board for lunchtime (included), at which an assorted menu of fresh, seasonal produce will be served. Keeping us company between bites will be the charming swans, who will swim around the boat entranced by the smell of the on-board cuisine. In the early afternoon, we will still have about 1 hour to enjoy the beautiful natural setting of Sirmione to our heart's content.

On the way back to Desenzano, we will head into the middle of the lake for a final swim where the water is bluest (and up to 140 metres deep!); back on board we will refresh ourselves with a snack (included) of fresh fruit, recovering our energies in the peaceful atmosphere of the late afternoon.

We will finally return to the meeting point. The experience will last a total of 7½ hours.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is suitable for everyone without age limits; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult on board.

It is not necessary to know how to swim to participate in the activity.

The boat is not accessible to people with mobility problems.

Other information

The experience takes place from April to October.

Thetime of the experience may vary depending on the best weather conditions at the skipper's discretion.

Theboat is a 10-metre-long sailboat with a large sundeck, awning, toilet and stereo; 2 SUPs and snorkelling equipment are also available. Shoes are allowed on board. Dogs are not allowed on board.

There is free and/or paid parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
