Full description

Discover the spectacular scenery of the Brenta Dolomites with a full day of freeriding accompanied by a snowboard instructor.

We'll start with a couple of hours' ascent on skins or snowshoes before launching into 1,500 metres of descent surfing the fresh snow as if we were on waves, admiring incredible views and opening new routes strictly off-piste, the ultimate for any snowboarder!

Once on the snow, we will learn how to choose the safest line of descent, how to observe our surroundings and what potential dangers to monitor.

Throughout the day, the instructor will be on hand to give advice on how to improve your snowboarding technique on and off-piste. A day of pure fun seasoned with a pinch of technique and safety to become a freeride pro.

What we will do

The day starts in Madonna di Campiglio with the meeting point at the departure point of the Grostè cableway and develops along an evocative itinerary through the Brenta Dolomites of Campiglio.

We ascend in altitude by cable car to 2,440 m, from here with skins or snowshoes we circumvent Cima Grostè, climbing 350 m to Bocchetta dei Camosci 2,771 m along a gully facing east. We finish the ascent at around 12 noon, and this is where the real fun begins!

We will tackle a west-facing couloir with a 40° gradient, passing beneath imposing dolomite walls and sparse larch forests with more than 1500m of pure descent to Pra de la Casa (1200m) in Val Brenta. The descent will take us about a couple of hours and will be broken into several parts to allow us to find the best route.

The day ends at around 16:00.

The aim is obviously to have fun, but we will also take the opportunity to learn about some fundamental elements for those who want to undertake this activity. In fact, we will talk about safety by carrying out an individual and group check of one's kit (arva, shovel, probe) and discovering its importance and use before descending.

Who it is aimed at

Freeride snowboarding is suitable for everyone from the age of 15.

No particular physical condition is required, but a minimum mastery of off-piste snowboarding.
