Dinghy tour to Vendicari and Capopassero with aperitif

If you love unspoilt places where nature reigns supreme, this corner of Sicily will enchant you! Come to the province of Syracuse and set off on a half-day dinghy tour that will take you to the uninhabited islands of Vendicari and Capopassero.

During the excursion you will make several stops for a swim, some snorkelling or to take some photos of the area's most beautiful sights including the Calamosche Beach, the Octopus Cave and the Tafuri Castle.

Finally, you will end the experience with a fantastic aperitif of Sicilian products including sparkling wine, arancini, focaccine and fresh fruit!

What we will do

We will meet at the meeting point in Marzamemi (SR), where our skipper will be waiting for us. Once on board the boat, an inflatable 798, we will head towards the Vendicari Nature Reserve, passing through the beautiful areas of Reitani and San Lorenzo. We will reach theisland of Vendicari, which is uninhabited to this day, where we will stop for a 15-minute swim at the Spiaggia Bianca (White Beach).

The next stop on the tour will be the remains of the Vendicari tuna fishery , which we will observe shortly before moving on to the Calamosche Beach, where we will stop for 15 minutes for another dip in the sea. At that point we will turn around and head south until we stop near Marzamemi to admire from the dinghy four Roman columns dating back to the 2nd century A.D. and positioned at a depth of 5 metres.

We will then sail towards theisland of Capopassero and, if the sea permits, we will enter the Grotta del Polipo (Octopus Cave), famous for the play of light created inside due to the reflection of the water on the walls. Finally, we will be able to admire the Tafuri Castle and the ruins of the tuna fishery in Portopalo while we stop in front of the island for about an hour, during which we will conclude the experience with some snorkelling and a delicious aperitif of Sicilian sparkling wine, arancini (fried rice balls), focaccine (flat bread) and fresh fruit.

We will spend half a day immersed in the nature of one of the most beautiful corners of Sicily, relaxing and admiring unforgettable scenery!

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 3.

It is not necessary to know how to swim to participate in the activity.

The activity is available every day from May to the end of October.

The meeting point can be reached by public transport and paid parking spaces are available nearby.

Theboat used for the activity is an 8 m long and 2.8 m wide dinghy . It is equipped with cushions, awning, climbing ladder, fresh water shower, stereo system, USB socket and fridge.

Theaperitif that will be served on board the dinghy during the experience includes Sicilian sparkling wine, beer, soft drinks, arancini (fried rice balls), scones, and fresh fruit.
