Full description

Discover the beauty of the Bologna hills on an electric mountain-bike tour, dive into the harmonious nature just outside the city centre, and enjoy a few hours of recreation in the company of new friends.

Together with a local guide you will explore Bologna's hilly and foothills area, the beautiful Giardini Margherita, the Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Luca, Villa Ghigi, and many other corners surrounded by greenery.

Don't miss the opportunity to spend a few hours in the open air, to experience the city from a different perspective, and to have fun on a mountain bike route suitable for everyone, thanks to the aid of pedal assistance.

What we will do

We will meet in Bologna, at the bike rental shop, at the appointed time. We will get to know the guide and the rest of the group (2 to 10 people). We will be handed over our electric mountain bikes and, after a short briefing, we will be ready to set off on the tour.

We will cycle in a southerly direction, passing through the historical centre and the porticoes, to arrive outside the urban perimeter, in the hilly area. Along the way we will stop to visit the Giardini Margherita, the largest and most popular park in Bologna, inspired by the romantic English gardens of the 19th century.

Continuing along the hills we will reach Villa Ghigi Park, where we will admire a wonderful panoramic view of the city and then continue cycling to the Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Luca, which, from the top of the Collina della Guardia, rises imposingly to dominate the green area below, connected to the city centre by a portico of no less than 4 km, the longest in the world!

The tour lasts 3.5 hours, for a distance of 35 km and a total of 700 m of altitude difference, which can be easily tackled with the aid of pedal assistance. Photo breaks and an ice cream stop (included in the price) are included. The return trip will be to the starting point.
