Dinner is served... at 2000 metres!
Climb aboard a sleigh and let yourself be taken to the top of theAsiago Plateau to discover the history of Italy.
Reach the Rifugio Forte Verena, retrace the legacy of the First World War and enjoy a high-altitude dinner.
What we will do
The meeting will take place in Verenetta, in the municipality of Roana (VI), 15 minutes before the time agreed upon at the time of booking. Awaiting us will be our guide, who will take us up high... almost touching the sky!
We will take a seat on board the slittabus, a special means of transport that will take us to the top of theAsiago Plateau. We will embark on a scenic 30-minute ride, until we arrive near the Forte Verena refuge.
As well as being an incredibly fascinating place, the refuge is also of immense historical importance: it was here, in fact, that the cannon shot that sanctioned Italy's entry into the First World War took place on 24 May 1915.
Being at a height of about 2020 metres, we will be able to enjoy a 360 degree panoramic view: before our eyes we will have the marvellous Asiago Plain, while above our noses an infinite starry sky.
In addition to the moving beauty of the landscape, we will also be able to delight ourselves with an abundant dinner: the organiser will have a complete menu prepared for us based on local products, with drinks included.
At the end of our stay at high altitude, we will re-board the sleigh-bus to embark on an approximately 30-minute descent. The whole experience will last about three hours.

The activity is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. If there are children under the age of 5 with you, please inform the organiser in advance.
Other information
The activity is available from December to March and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 4 participants.

A snowmobile will be used to pull the toboggan; in some cases it may be replaced by a quad bike.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport; parking is available on site.
