Full description

Get ready for a magnificent experience in the Stelvio National Park, immersing yourself in unspoilt nature and fishing in mountain lakes, in search of char, a prehistoric fish typical of the Alps.

The activity will be carried out with full respect for the environment and the animals, fishing in catch and release mode in no less than 6 alpine lakes. Together with an expert mountain guide, you will discover flora and fauna and spot the wild animals that populate the Stelvio woods: deer, eagles, roe deer, marmots and many others!

Waking up at dawn, backpack on your shoulders and fishing rod in hand, awhole day of nature, adventure and the emotions that only the Alps, with their pure air and wonderful landscapes, can give you.

What we will do

He who sleeps, catches no fish! And indeed, our fishing adventure will begin at 06: 00 with a meeting with the guide in the village of Ossana, in the province of Trento. From there, with a transfer of about 30 minutes by car, we will reach an alpine hut at an altitude of over 2000 metres, which will be the starting point of our adventure. We will start walking on a trekking route that will lead us to the first lake. That will be the moment to grab the fishing rod and go in search of char, a prehistoric fish widespread in the Trentino Alps.

The guide will explain the rudiments of fishing, making the experience interesting and practicable even for those who have never picked up a fishing rod. We will follow the practice of catch and release, releasing the fish into the water immediately after catching them. And if you don't feel like fishing, you can always relax in nature and enjoy the beautiful alpine scenery.

The day will be a succession of emotions and discoveries. We will stop to fish in 6 different lakes, all of them beautiful, and in between we will have the chance to observe the wonders of nature and wild animals in their natural habitat.

In the afternoon, we will return to the valley by tackling another hiking trail that will take us to San Bernardo, in Val di Rabbi. There we will find an organisation vehicle that will take us back to our starting point. The activity has a total duration of 12 hours, with return expected around 18:00.
