Full description
Experience the sea in a different way by spending a whole day on the gulet, an ancient wooden boat, sailing off the coast of Nettuno and fishing with the help of the captain.
A day of fishing is a fun experience, to be shared with family or friends. You will learn how to use a fishing rod or line, how tobait, and how to clean and fillet the freshly caught fish that will be cooked on board.
Those not fishing will be able to enjoy a relaxing day sunbathing on the comfortable cushions in the bow. There will be no shortage of stops for a refreshing dip and approaches to the coast to admire points of historical and natural interest.
What we will do
We will meet in the morning in Nettuno to embark at 10am. We will head straight to the fishing area to engage in bolentino, which in the jargon of the sector indicates the fishing technique consisting of casting bait onto the seabed attached to a fishing line or rod.
Our guide will be Captain Antonio, who will patiently and skilfully teach us how to use the equipment, choose the best spots, and understand the right moment to cast. The Latium coasts are home to a great variety of fish species: sea bass, giltheads, bream, mullet, cuttlefish, octopus, etc. At the end of the morning fishing trip we will learn how to clean and fillet the fish and cook it on board. If the fishing is unlucky (we hope not!) don't worry, we won't be left high and dry!
After the delicious lunch, we will continue fishing between swimming and relaxing in the sun. We will go as far as Torre Astura, a wild coastal location where a medieval tower stands out and archaeological remains from Roman times are clearly visible from the beach. The gulet is equipped with a tender with which we can approach the coast for a walk among the ruins.
Around 16.00 we will take the way back with a line thrown overboard, hoping for one last treat before returning.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and is open to everyone. The day is mainly for inexperienced anglers who wish to learn fishing techniques, but experts are also welcome.

Attention! Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the departure time.
The activity will be confirmed when there are at least 4 participants, subject to weather and sea conditions.
The day usually runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., but in the winter period the timetable can be shortened to warmer hours or, depending on the type of fish to be found at any given time, you may prefer to go out early in the morning or at sunset until the evening. The skipper will confirm the exact time a few days before the activity.
Fishing equipment is not included in the participation fee and can be rented for 15€ per person. Ask for it after booking.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 15 days from the activity start date. Within 14 and 8 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
