Would you like to enjoy a special experience in the Ligurian Alps in the company of an exceptional guide? With the half-day trek, starting from Upega (CN), you will be accompanied by three wonderful donkeys along the route.
A fun adventure for adults and children along a route inside the Marguareis Natural Park, a protected natural area in Piedmont that covers part of the Pesio Valley and Alta Val Tanaro. You can admire incredible views and walk in peace, free from the weight of your rucksack, thanks to the donkeys that will accompany you along the trail.

What we will do
We will start from Upega at an altitude of 1,400 metres, a small hamlet in the municipality of Briga Alta in the province of Cuneo. From this characteristic mountain village in the upper Tanaro valley we will set off on a fairly demanding trek of around 8 km a/r, on a route of level E, EE (hiker and expert hiker level).
During the trek we will be accompanied by 'special local guides': Buddy, Phil and Dante, three donkeys supervised by Bruno, a qualified donkey technician. The donkeys will carry our load, so that everyone is free to tackle the trek without a weight on their shoulders. Those who wish will also be able to try leading the donkey with a longhorn.
The itinerary will offer crazy views, within the Marguareis Natural Park in the Ligurian Alps. A truly unique mountain scenery, since from the mountain at some points we will be able to see the Ligurian Sea on the horizon.
Once we have reached our destination, at an altitude of no more than 2,000 metres, we will set off again and return to our starting point.
The excursion will last a total of 4 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The hike is suitable for people with good mobility and able to cope with a mountain walk.
Theminimum age for participation is 5 years, while up to 14 years the presence of an accompanying adult is required.

The activity is available every day from May to the end of September, weather permitting, and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 participants.
A special rate is available for families with children (€95 per family of 2 adults and 1 child): contact us to make a reservation.
It is not possible to participate with your dog.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
