Full description
Cerveteri is famous not only for its well-preserved Etruscan necropolises, but also for its wooded areas characterised by dense vegetation and picturesque waterfalls.
This horseback ride will take you right into the natural wonders of the area . You will ride through the town of Cerveteri, through woods, along country paths, and you will ride through a river bed until you reach the "Salto della Capra" waterfall, 30 metres high and immersed in a wonderful natural setting.
During the walk you will admire two more waterfalls, limestone rocks and, on the way back, you will ride along a panoramic path from which you can also see the sea. What are you waiting for to book your place?
What we will do
We will meet at the riding school in Cerveteri, not far from Rome. We will be welcomed here by a certified equestrian guide who will give a briefing of about 10 minutes, during which we will go over the techniques of horse handling and American-style riding.
Once the explanation is over, we will set off on our walk. We will take a circular route that will take us through the town of Cerveteri, passing by a small Etruscan site, where we will be able to admire the Church of St Antony.
We will then enter the woods of Cerveteri until we reach a river with a small artificial waterfall. It will be really exciting to enter the river bed on horseback surrounded by this splendid natural scenery.
On the way out we will find ourselves in a plain dominated by tufa rocks, we will take a country road and ride along the river until we reach the "Salto della Capra", a 30-metre high waterfall set in a truly enchanting rocky environment.
Before returning to the starting point, we will see the last waterfall and small natural pools. We will enter the river again with the horse, continuing for half an hour. Finally, on the way back, we will ride along a panoramic path from which we can see the sea. The excursion lasts a total of four hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is aimed at those who already have experience on horseback. It is necessary to be able to handle the horse independently and to be able to ride at least a trot.
The minimum age for participation is 14 years.

The experience can be booked all year round except at Easter, Christmas and Boxing Day and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 people.
Please note! Please arrive at least 15 minutes beforehand at the riding school.
It is possible to request an English-speaking guide at an extra cost of €50 to be divided between participants if necessary. Contact the organiser as soon as possible on the reference numbers provided after booking.
Riding is American style.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
