Apulia is a region of innumerable surprises: sea, nature, history, and traditions coexist in an area waiting to be discovered. With this private helicopter tour you will admire the Swabian-Angevin Fortress and theLucera Amphitheatre, true beauties hidden in the Foggia hinterland.
On board thehelicopter you will experience the intense thrill of flight and immerse yourself in a context of history and nature, retracing the steps of the ancient populations that colonised these sun-kissed lands.
The spectacle of the world seen from above is waiting for you, all you have to do is rely on our expert pilots and prepare for take-off!
What we will do
The meeting point for our activity is set at theFoggia Airport, where we will get acquainted with the pilot. Before leaving, we will have a briefing on the route we will follow and the safety rules to be maintained during the flight.
When we are ready, we will board the Robinson R44 and prepare for take-off. We will fly in the direction of the town of Lucera, where we will see the Swabian-Angevin Fortress, a medieval castle surrounded by a 900-metre-long wall. The imposing structure rises on top of the Albano Hill and dominates the Tavoliere delle Puglie, guarding the territory from what was considered a strategic position since ancient times.
Our tour of the Apulian skies is not over. Awaiting us isLucera's Augustan Amphitheatre, one of the oldest in southern Italy and older than the Colosseum. The arena, with a capacity of between 16,000 and 18,000 people, stands in a natural depression in the ground and was brought to light relatively recently.
At the end of this plunge into history, accompanied by the constant noise of the propeller, we will return to Foggia airport, where we will land and say goodbye until the next adventure!
The activity has a total duration of 1 hour, of which about 30 minutes of actual flight time.

Attention! Please arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before the time chosen for the activity.
This activity can take place all year round, subject to availability of the aircraft, and only in favourable weather conditions.
The flight is exclusive and is intended for private groups of a maximum of 3 people.
The activity can take place from sunrise to sunset. After booking, you will receive an hourly confirmation. A few days before the scheduled date, the pilot will advise you on the feasibility of the flight based on the weather forecast.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
