Unplug and enjoy the natural beauty of the Valchiusella with afull-day horseback riding excursion.
Fairytale passages and enchanting natural scenery will be the backdrop to one of the coolest experiences of the moment. You'll fall in love with these wild, romantic places (location of some scenes from The Black Arrow), where the Chiusella river has its source and creates natural pools and marvellous waterfalls.
What we will do
The appointment is at 10 a.m. near Traversella, in the province of Turin. Here we will meet the equestrian guide and the beautiful trained horses that will accompany us on our tour. Once we have familiarised ourselves with the animals and briefly gone over riding techniques, we can finally set off on our ride.
The route goes from Fondo, a characteristic hamlet of Traversella and one of the last hamlets of the Valchiusella, to the small village of Tallorno. We ascend along the agro-forestry track that runs alongside the Chiusella stream and arrive nearAlpe Pasquere. Some scenes of the TV miniseries La Freccia Nera, starring Riccardo Scamarcio, were filmed here.
We will ride along paths immersed in nature, among pastures, marvellous waterfalls and natural pools and, after about 1.5 hours of riding, we will stop for lunch (not included in the participation fee), which can be packed or in one of the valley's typical restaurants.
The activity lasts about 5 hours, including lunch break.
Who it is aimed at
Important: this activity is at an intermediate level and is intended for those who already have experience on horseback. However, beginners have the option of participating in the activity for an additional charge of 50 euros, as they will have a dedicated guide who will follow them on foot throughout the entire route.
If you have no horse riding experience, we recommend theshort excursion.
To participate in the activity, you must be at least 14 years old and weigh less than 90 kg.

The activity can be booked throughout the year, subject to weather conditions and instructor availability.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
