2-hour horseback ride in Palestrina

That's exactly how we define our horseback ride in Palestrina: you will ride in an astonishing natural setting, discovering the area through the stories of the equestrian guide.

A 2-hour experience, which you can enrich with an aperitif!

What we will do

The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Palestrina (RM). We will be welcomed by the equestrian guide who will accompany us on this adventure!

Having gathered all the participants, we will receive our equipment and proceed to the saddle in the field. The guide will provide us with basic riding notions as well as useful information for a carefree experience.

And here we are ready for our horseback ride: we will venture partly on asphalt and partly on woodland paths, taking a ring route with panoramic views of Palestrina, Castel San Pietro Romano and Zagarolo. We will ride until we reach a natural lake decorated with ancient fountains, where our companions will drink. The equestrian guide will lead the group on horseback with or without a halter according to the participants' needs, recounting anecdotes on the flora and fauna of the area: it may happen that we find mushrooms as well as meeting some cute little wild boars!

We will then return to the meeting point; the horseback ride will last 2 hours. If the"with aperitif" option is selected, we will toast with an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink on our return accompanied by assorted snacks such as chips, nuts, bruschetta, focaccia and cold cuts.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is suitable for ages 7 and up; any children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Children under the age of 14 will be tied to the guide horse with a harness and the route may vary: please contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to indicate the presence of children.

A maximum weight of 120 kg is required to participate.

The experience is of an easy level and suitable for first-time horse riders.

Other information

Caution! Long trousers and closed shoes without heels must be worn. If the clothing requirement is not met, the activity may not take place at the guide's discretion.

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed when the minimum number of 2 participants is reached.

Any accompanying persons can wait at the equestrian centre. Leashed dogs are allowed at the equestrian centre, where there is also a dedicated dog area.

A barbecue can be rented at the equestrian centre at a cost of €5.00 per person to be paid on site; the fee includes everything needed to light the fire. Contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to request this service.

There is free parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
