Full description
The surroundings of Samolaco in the province of Sondrio are the ideal natural setting for a horseback ride.
Meet your horse at the riding guide's farm; after an initial greeting, and refreshing basic riding techniques for those of you who already have experience in the saddle, we will be ready to set off on our first two-hour adventure together!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you at the time selected during the booking process at my farm in Samolaco, in the province of Sondrio. On your arrival you will find my horses to welcome you, kept in the wild; you will become attached to them over the course of the excursion.
As a riding guide I will explain basic riding techniques including how to start, how to steer and how to brake the horse; a reminder for you who already have experience in the saddle. We will then be ready to climb into the saddle and ride through the meadows, along the riverbank and on the shore of the Novate Mezzola lake, putting ourselves to the test with a little climbing. We will ride through the villages of Samolaco, Somaggia and Novate Mezzola.
The excursion lasts a total of 2 hours, but our love of horses is endless!
Who it is aimed at
The excursion is intended for riders with experience and mastery of all gaits, aged 14 and over; minors do not need to be accompanied by an adult of age.
Participants must be within a weight limit of 80 kg.
Other information
The activity takes place every day throughout the year at the times indicated during the booking process.
The experience takes place subject to weather conditions communicated 18 hours before the date at the organiser's discretion.
A riding helmet (included) is obligatory for participants under age.
In the case of inexperienced riders, the guide is entitled to reduce the duration of the activity by up to one hour to ensure safety. For beginners, we therefore recommend our 1-hour horseback ride to Lake Novate Mezzola.
Both types of riding, English and American, are available.
It is compulsory not to carry rucksacks, bags and fanny packs; please leave them in the car.
It is compulsory to reduce mobile phone use and switch to silent mode to immerse yourself as much as possible in the experience.
You must wear a T-shirt, long trousers and trainers; shorts, skirts and sandals are not suitable for the experience.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
