Full description
On horseback in the mountains of Abruzzo: how do you see yourself?
If the answer is "Good!", get ready to climb into the saddle and ride through the boundless landscapes of the Sirente-Velino Park. In the company of an equestrian guide, you will explore the Val d'Arano on a ring-route that will take you through woods, streams and bridges immersed in nature.
A one-hour walk from which you will emerge with your batteries fully recharged!
What we will do
The appointment is at the riding school in Ovindoli (AQ ) at an altitude of 1400 metres, 10 minutes before the indicated time.
After welcoming us, the equestrian guide will assist us in putting us in the saddle and show us the main commands to direct our horse. The briefing will last about 5 minutes, but during the ride we will receive further instructions to gain confidence and technique.
We will then leave the stables on horseback with the guide to begin our ride, which will lead us to discover the Val d'Arano, a small mountain valley that is part of the Sirente-Velino Park. We will ride at the pass for an initial stretch along a footpath, and then penetrate into the surrounding nature, among woods, streams and small bridges to cross.
Framing the ride will be the surrounding mountains , a dream setting for our adventure! We will complete a loop of about 5 km, which will finally take us back to the riding stables.
The duration of the activity will be one hour in total.
Who it is aimed at
The walk is suitable for everyone from the age of 10. Minors must be accompanied by an adult during the activity.
No horse ridingexperience is required.
The maximum weight for participants is 120 kg.
Other information
The activity takes place all year round and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 participants.
The route indicated may vary depending on weather and terrain conditions . During the winter season, the walk may take place on snow.
The mount used is the American mount .
Any accompanying persons may wait in the riding hall during the activity; dogs on a leash are allowed on the premises.
The meeting point is not easily accessible by public transport; free parking is available on site.
