Full description
Escape the stress of everyday life and spend two wonderful days in the company of an extraordinary animal to discover the magnificent landscapes of the Pesio Valley in the province of Cuneo.
You will set off on anamazing adventure in close contact with nature. You will ride through the woods, getting in symbiosis with the horse and being enchanted by the mountain panorama with the peaks of the Maritime Alps as a backdrop.
Towards evening, you will stop at a pretty farmhouse to enjoy a typical dinner and rest in view of the new day ahead!
What we will do
The appointment is at 8.30 a.m. at the stable in Lurisia, a hamlet in the municipality of Roccaforte Mondovì (CN). First there will be an introductory briefing on the activities of the two days, then we will prepare the horses, a small review on riding techniques and the rules of behaviour to be followed, and around 10:00 we will be ready to leave.
We will enter the forest in a continuous up and down of paths and lanes, passing Lake Pianfei and the Castle of Mombrisone, symbols of the Pesio Valley. We will cross valleys and mountain ridges, immersing ourselves in the silence and peace of nature, always surrounded by the peaks of the Maritime Alps.
Around 5.30 p.m. and after about 20 km, we will arrive at the refuge that will welcome us for the night, where we will be able to relax and enjoy a dinner of typical products all together in merriment.
The following morning, after a nutritious breakfast of cured meats, cheeses, butter, homemade bread and homemade jams, we will set off on our horses and ride along the Via delle Borgate, passing two valleys and encountering small abandoned villages along the way until we reach Monte Olocco.
Here we will enjoy thewide panorama of the Pesio Valley and finally descend along the via delle sorgenti, which will take us back to our starting point in Lurisia at around 5.30 p.m., after riding about 16 km.
The route consists of 90% dirt road and 10% asphalt. An off-road vehicle of the organisation will follow us, transporting luggage, equipment and providing the necessary support when required.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an intermediate level and is open to those who are already familiar with horse riding and are in good physical condition. You can participate from 14 years of age (accompanied by an adult).
To participate in this activity, the maximum weight is 100 kg; if you weigh 80 kg or more, please contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to communicate your weight.
Other information
This activity can be carried out during the months of April, May, September and October, weather permitting, and is confirmed when there are at least 4 participants.
The overnight stay includes accommodation in a refuge in a room shared with the other tour participants.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
