An experience to discover Umbria in (and with) all the senses!
Take part in our horseback ride and visit to the oil mill: riding your steed you will reach the award-winning Frantoio Ranchino, a renowned farm where you will learn more about the production of extra virgin olive oil. There will also be an oil tasting, for the pleasure of smell and taste.
A complete experience lasting 6 hours, ending with a homemade snack at the riding club!
What we will do
The appointment is at 10.30 a. m. at the meeting point in Orvieto (TR). We will be welcomed by the equestrian guide, who will welcome us to the riding club!
Once all participants have gathered, we will get to know the horses and proceed with the saddle. The guide will not fail to teach us the basics of horse riding for a carefree experience, followed by a trial ride in the field to get acquainted with the animal. This first moment will last approximately 30 minutes.
And here we are ready for our horseback ride: we will venture into the natural setting of the province of Terni, through vineyards and olive groves, and into a forest. The guide will lead the group on horseback and provide constant support. After about two hours of riding, we will arrive at the Frantoio Ranchino, a renowned farm, which will host us for a visit of the oil mill and an oil tasting: we will taste two different types of extra virgin olive oil accompanied by bruschetta and seasonal vegetables, as well as a glass of local wine. The stop at the Ranchino oil mill will last about 2 hours.
After having, literally, savoured this corner of Umbria, we will return to the saddle. We will ride for approximately 2 hours, again in a characteristic natural setting, taking a different path from the outward journey. We will cross the finish line at the riding club, where we will be greeted by a tasty snack of baked pizza and house wine. To toast one last time all together!
The experience will last a total of 6 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 14 and up. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult or have signed authorisation from both parents.
A maximum weight of 100 kg is required to participate.
The activity is of an easy level and suitable for a first horse riding experience.
Other information
The experience takes place from October to March and is confirmed once the minimum number of 2 participants has been reached.
Once you have received the e-mail confirming your booking, it is compulsory to contact the guide at the contact details given in order to take out the insurance, providing the first name, surname, date of birth, place of birth, residence and tax code of each participant. The insurance is valid for 1 year and allows you to return to the riding club for this or other experiences without having to pay the insurance fee again.

Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed-date booking and the weather conditions are not suitable for safely carrying out the activity (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be fully refunded. The guide may offer you an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to accept or decline these proposals. If you cannot reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
