Full description

Discover the marvellous Sorrento peninsula by kayaking inside theMarine Protected Area Punta Campanella to the Bay of Ieranto, discovering the myth of Ulysses and the places where the Sirens dwelled.

A unique experience that will allow you to explore exclusive coves, caves unknown to the general public and historical buildings. Paddling on the blue board of the sea you will always have Capri in the background: the perfect panorama for an unforgettable day.

You will experience the local traditions and the magic of historic places that myth has helped to make fascinating and mysterious, entering into perfect harmony with the sea and nature. You will fall in love!

What we will do

We will meet at 10:00 a.m. in the small and picturesque fishing village Marina della Lobra, in the municipality of Massa Lubrense (NA). At the reception, we will be given details of the tour and immediately afterwards, together with the instructor, we will have a briefing on the safe use of the kayak. Having donned our swimming costumes and life jackets, we will be ready to set off.

During the paddle we will be told the history of the place, ever since Ulysses escaped the bewitching assault of the Sirens. We will listen to the popular legends of the coves and caves, discover flora and fauna both marine and terrestrial, led by the guide to the protected FAI heritage sites.

We will visit the Baia della Cascatella with its inevitable "fresh shower", see General Murat's villa, the limestone caves and suggestive coves, bathe in the enchanting Baia di Mitigliano by diving straight into the grotto and then, at the tip, look up to admire the Punta Campanella lighthouse.

We will stop inside the Bay of Ieranto to eat a packed lunch (included in the price) and take a swim in its crystal-clear waters with the fish and shellfish that find shelter in this magnificent protected area.

Between the outward and return journeys, we will spend 6 hours together and at the end of the experience we will say goodbye, wishing we could repeat it many more times!
