Full description
Get ready to be lulled by the silence ofSardinia's only navigable river!
Kayak along the river Temo starting from Bosa, one of the island's most fascinating villages. In the company of an expert guide, you will cover a stretch of about 8 km among volcanic formations and surprising fauna .
You will reach the river's narrowest point, where the banks come close together until they almost touch, and then widen again in a fairy-tale landscape. And if you fancy a dip, there will even be a chance for a refreshing swim!
What we will do
At the indicated time, we will meet in Bosa (OR). Our guide will be there to welcome us with all ourequipment: kayak, paddle, life jacket and a shared waterproof bag to store personal items.
Before setting off, we will have a short briefing of about 10 minutes to learn the basics of how touse the kayak and move around safely. Then, with our jackets on, it will be time to get into the water!
We will paddle along an 8 km route. After about 3 km, we will reach the 'ford', where the river narrows into a passage framed by vegetation. Past this point, we will see the landscape change: volcanic rocks plunge into the river, creating curious reflections.
We will be able to observe grey herons and other species of birds that inhabit this area. The guide will accompany us with tales and curiosities about the area, turning the paddle into a real journey through history and nature.
We will finally arrive at a rock perfect for a break and, for those who wish, a refreshing dip. After the break, we will return back along the same route.
The activity will last a total of 2½ hours.
