If your dream has always been to try kitesurfing, the 3-day course in Porto Cesareo is the best choice you can make. Thanks to an experienced instructor, you will discover all the secrets of this fascinating sport.
You will learn how best to move around on the board handling the kite and how to keep the situation under control to glide over the waves without any problems.
The course is aimed at both beginners and those who want to improve their technique, and can be taken individually or in pairs.
What we will do
The meeting point is Scala di Furno, a hamlet of Porto Cesareo. On our arrival we will be welcomed by theinstructor, we will be given the necessary equipment (included) and we will be shown the characteristics of the kite.
The course takes place over 3 days of lessons of 3 hours each:
In the first lesson we will use a kite with In the first lesson, we will use a kite with shorter lines than the standard ones (10 metres), a choice that will allow us to understand what it means to fly the kite and to practise the basic movements of this sport.
In the second lesson, the kite will have longer lines (15 metres) which will allow us to have more power and to try advanced manoeuvres, for example the self rescue, the 'life saving manoeuvre' to be performed if the kite stops working.
In the third lesson we will learn how to manoeuvre in the most diverse situations in order to gain fluency in handling the kite. For example, we will be explained the position of body drag and the position of starting on the board.
When we are ready, we will move into the water to put it all into practice. In the sea, we will also learn how to recover the board and first glides, the most exciting moment of the whole course! course!
Who it is aimed at
The course is suitable for everyone over the age of 14, and is aimed at those who have never tried kitesurfing or those who want to perfect their skills in this sport.
No specific skills are required, the important thing is to weigh at least 40 kg.
Other information
The activity can be booked from October to May, weather permitting, and can be done individually or in pairs.
The three lessons do not necessarily take place on three consecutive days. You choose the date of the first lesson and for the others you make arrangements directly with the instructor according to your needs.
