Have you ever taken a ride... in an autogyro?
If the answer is no, it's time to remedy the situation! In the company of a pilot, you will discover how much fun it is to fly in this unusual craft, halfway between a helicopter and an aeroplane.
You can choose between a 30- or 60-minute flight, during which you will admire the Murge area, straddling Puglia and Basilicata!
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Ginosa (TA). You will be welcomed by the pilot who will accompany you on this scenic autogyro flight!
After the welcome, you will reach the hangar where a 30-minute briefing will take place, starting with an assessment of the weather conditions. This will be followed by the dressing-up phase (depending on the activity period), after which the pilot will explain all the components of the gyrocopter and the rules for safe flying. Finally, the day's itinerary will be explained to you and you will finally be able to sit on board the aircraft.
Once the engine is warmed up, you will be ready for take-off! Throughout the flight, you will be able to communicate with the pilot, who will tell you when and where to take the most beautiful photos above the Murge landscape.
During the 30-minute flight you will fly over Gravina di Laterza (Europe's largest canyon) and Gravina di Ginosa, choosing whether to continue towards Matera or in the opposite direction towards the coast, to Castellaneta Marina. During the 60-minute flight, on the other hand, you can choose to go as far as Locorotondo, Alberobello and the Itria Valley, or alternatively, fly over Basilicata to Craco, the beautiful 'ghost town' in the province of Matera.
The experience will last a total of about 1 hour or 1.5 hours , depending on the option chosen at the time of booking.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable from the age of 18.
Amaximum height of 195 cm and a maximum weight of 120 kg are required to participate in the activity.
The activity cannot be enjoyed by people with cardiovascular diseases.

Caution! The experience is strictly dependent on weather conditions. In the event of bad weather and/or adverse conditions of any kind, the flight may be postponed or modified at the pilot's discretion.
The activity takes place all year round.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
The experience is individual: there is 1 pilot and 1 participant on board the aircraft. For bookings of 2 or more participants, the activity will be carried out consecutively.
Any accompanying persons can visit the farm, where they can get to know horses, donkeys and rabbits and enjoy a snack with farm produce.
