Trekking with alpacas among historic villages and sanctuaries near Ferrara

Our idea of a 'cultural outing'? A visit to the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Pioppa in the company of friendly alpacas!

This is exactly what awaits you by taking part in our alpaca walk in Bondeno: you will venture into the province of Ferrara, passing through historic villages on your way to the finish line. Along the way, your guide will not fail to tell you stories and curiosities about the area.

A 3-hour experience, enriched by a snack!

What we will do

The appointment is at the selected time at the meeting point in Bondeno (FE). We will be welcomed by the guide who will accompany us on this very soft adventure!

Once all participants have gathered, the experience will begin with a brief presentation on the alpaca: what an animal it is, how it behaves and how to approach it. We will then proceed with the assignments: we will be in the company of Romino, Cosmo, Kuka, Fantasy, Franz and Nils, the real stars of the day!

And here we are ready for our alpaca walk: we will venture mostly on asphalt, through the historic village of Ospitale, surrounded by countryside. We will continue until we reach the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Pioppa, which we will be able to access: the guide will not fail to tell us its particular history and show us the monumental crib! We will also take the opportunity to make a short stop, during which a snack, consisting of snacks and a drink, will be offered.

We will then set off again and, after walking about 4 km, we will finally return to the meeting point. The experience will last a total of 3 hours.

Who it is aimed at

The alpaca walk is suitable for ages 4 and up; children under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult.

The route is accessible by wheelchair and/or pushchair.

Other information

Attention. The crib will be open throughout the year 2025 on the occasion of the Jubilee.

The experience is available all year round and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 individual participants or a minimum of 2 couples.

When booking you can book for:

• Single participants: people who lead the alpaca for the entire route; for a maximum number of 6 participants.
• Couples: pairs of people sharing the leading of an alpaca for half the route; for a maximum number of 6 pairs of participants.

Leashed dogs may participate in the walk if they are accustomed to the company of other animals and kept at an appropriate distance.

Options are available for people with food allergies and/or intolerances: contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to communicate any dietary requirements.

Free parking is available on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
