Full description
We cultivate the rarest grape variety in Calabria: the Montonico Pinto.
And you will have the privilege of tasting it by taking part in our visit with tasting: in the company of a young oenologist and agronomist, you will walk through the production room delving 'behind the scenes' and taste the company's most representative labels.
A 1-hour experience, discovering the 'true taste' of Calabria!
What we will do
The appointment is 5 minutes before the selected time at Cantina Rizzo in Frascineto (CS). We will be welcomed by our guide, a young oenologist and agronomist, who will accompany us on a discovery of this Calabrian winery!
Having gathered all the participants, we will enter the winery: we will walk through the production room, admiring the place where the wine is born and matures. In this (fragrant!) setting, the guide will tell us about the family history, the philosophy of the winery and the method of processing the grapes. This first part will last about 10 minutes.
The long-awaited moment will then have arrived: the wine tasting! In the same room, for an even more authentic experience in contact with the production process, we will sit down and enjoy four glasses of the company's most representative wines: Muta IGP, Timpa delle Fave IGP, Monvecchio Rosato IGP and Gëzuar IGP; the toast will be accompanied by breadsticks and/or taralli. The guide will not fail to describe the wine served, adding value to each sip.
The experience will last a total of 1 hour.

The experience is recommended for participants aged 18 and over.
The wine tasting is reserved for participants over 18 years of age only. A fruit juice will be served to paying under-age and over-age teetotallers.
The facility is wheelchair and/or pushchair accessible.

The experience runs from May to August and in December.
