Full description
Would you have ever guessed that Merlot is cultivated in Sardinia?
The winemaker and owner of Cantina Mojla will tell you this and many other interesting facts about the world of wine . A young family business located in the mountains of the province of Nuoro, with a panoramic view of the entire Sa Canna valley.
An experience of over 1 hour to discover theauthentic taste of Sardinia, between wine and typical products!
What we will do
The appointment is 5 minutes before the selected time at Cantina Mojla in Jerzu (NU). We will be welcomed by the guide, winemaker and owner of the winery, who will accompany us on a discovery of this family-run business in the heart of Sardinia!
Having gathered all the participants, the experience will begin outside with a walk through the characteristic terraced vineyard. We will then move inside for a visit to the small, artisanal winery: this space houses the equipment necessary for milling, vinification and fermentation. We will also pass by the barrique cellar, where the Merlot rests (unexpectedly). The winegrower will tell us the history of the young winery, production practices and many other interesting anecdotes about the world of wine. This first moment will last about 30 minutes.
We will then reach the outside veranda for the wine tasting. The guide will serve us and describe 3 glasses of wine including Vermentino, Cannonau and Merlot. Accompanying us will be served typical Sardinian products such as their own olive oil, bread, cold meats, cheese, or other fresh products depending on the availability of the day. The backdrop to our toast will be the unique panoramic view of the vineyard and the entire Sa Canna valley!
The experience will last 1½ hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is recommended for participants aged 18 and over.
The wine tasting is reserved for participants over 18 years of age only. Minors and teetotalers paying the reduced rate will be served typical Sardinian products accompanied by water.
The winery is partly accessible by wheelchair and/or pushchair; the guide is on hand to provide support if necessary. If you are a wheelchair user, please contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to indicate your presence.
