Nebbiolo and Vespolina are the treasure of the Novara hills!
And they are kept at Cantina Fontechiara, a winery in Borgomanero. In the company of a guide, you will visit the winery to discover the processing of these grapes (and their waste, used to make fragrant and tasty handcrafted products).
An experience of over 1 hour, ending with a tasting of wines and typical local products!
What we will do
The appointment is 5 minutes before the selected time at Cantina Fontechiara in Borgomanero (NO). We will be welcomed by a guide who will accompany us on a discovery of this winery in the Novara hills!
The experience will begin with a visit to the winery: amidst steel tanks and wooden barrels, we will walk to discover the production of wine. The guide will tell the story of the winery and describe the production process, from vinification to ageing. This first moment will last around 20 minutes.
We will then move on to the tasting room, set up indoors or outdoors depending on the weather conditions. The guide will serve 2, 3 or 4 glasses depending on the option purchased, expertly described to better appreciate all their characteristics. The toast will be accompanied by a tasting of typical local products such as cold meats, cheeses, honeys and jams.
- 2 glasses: 2 glasses of red wine will be served.
- 3 glasses: 1 glass of rosé wine and 2 glasses of red wine will be served.
- 4 glasses: 1 glass of white wine, 1 glass of rosé wine and 2 glasses of red wine will be served.
The wines to be tasted may vary according to availability.
The experience will last approximately 1½ hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is recommended for participants aged 18 and over.
The wine tasting is reserved for participants over 18 years of age only. Accompanying under-age participants paying the reduced rate will be served a platter of home-made baked goods accompanied by a non-alcoholic drink.
The wine cellar is not accessible by wheelchair and/or pushchair.

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.

Small-medium sized dogs are allowed: contact the guide at the contact details given in the e-mail confirming your booking to indicate their presence.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
