Full description
A river of adventures awaits you! Come and try river SUP on the Ticino, with a 6-hour course that will teach you the basics of this fun water sport.
Move with the paddle, face the current and learn how to keep your balance on the board thanks to theinstructor's advice. Surrounded by the beauty of the Ticino Park, you'll spend a SUP-erative day!
What we will do
The appointment is at 10 a.m. at the indicated meeting point near Vigevano (PV), in the Ticino Park.
Here we will meet theinstructor, who will hand us the necessary equipment for our course. We will begin with a first theoretical part in which we will familiarise ourselves with the SUP board and do some warm-up and balance exercises.
Then we will enter the water for the practical part and start practising on the board, working on posture and paddling techniques. The instructor will follow us closely to ensure maximum safety and help us improve step by step.
River SUP is an exciting and addictive way of navigating rivers that is gaining in popularity among water sports enthusiasts. Surrounded by the vastness of the Ticino Park, we will feel a bit like explorers venturing into the wilderness!
After 3 hours of activities in the morning, we will stop for a packed lunch break (not included), which will last about an hour. In the afternoon, we will resume the water exercises for another 3 hours. Depending on our level of confidence, we may also try our hand at a short descent along a quiet stretch of the river.
The duration of the activity will be about 7 hours, including 6 hours of lessons and a lunch break.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 12. Minors may take the course on their own, but must be accompanied by a responsible adult to sign the release form.
You must be able to swim and have a maximum weight of 90 kg.
Other information
The activity takes place from March to October.
For changing and depositing personal belongings, you can use the van provided by the organisers. There are no showers or toilets at the meeting point.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport; free parking is available on site.
