Unleash the sea wolf in you!
Get ready to sail to the Golfo dei Poeti during this introductory sailing day departing from Marina di Carrara.
Together with a CONI instructor, you will learn the theory and practice of boat handling (and yes, there will also be time for some relaxation)!
What we will do
The rendezvous is at10 a.m. at the meeting point in Marina di Carrara (MS), where the skipper and CONI sailing instructor will be waiting for us.
Once all participants have gathered on board the boat, we will choose the day's itinerary together with the skipper according to the weather and sea conditions and our preferences.
Then we will be ready to set sail towards the Golfo dei Poeti! We will sail for about 2 hours , during which the instructor will explain the basics of sailing: knots, winds, manoeuvres and sails will be the topics of the day!
Once at our destination, we will moor at anchor and finally enjoy a refreshing dip in the waters of Tellaro and Portovenere, taking the opportunity to do some snorkelling. During the stop, we will also have plenty of time to enjoy our packed lunch (alternatively, an on-board lunch can be organised by prior arrangement with the captain).
After about 2 hours of rest, we will cast off and embark on the return trip, where we will have the opportunity for a few practice runs and experience the thrill of feeling like captains for a day!
We will finally return to the meeting point at around 17:30, for an experience lasting a total of 7½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 18.
The boat is not accessible to wheelchairs and persons with reduced mobility.
It is not necessary to know how to swim to participate in this activity, but good aquatic skills are required.
Other information
The experience is available from April to October and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 5 participants.
TheDufour 44 Performance sailing boat is 14 metres long and has 3 double cabins, a kitchen, WC, outdoor shower, hot and cold water.
On board the boat you remain barefoot or with your own white rubber-soled shoes if necessary.
Dogs are not allowed on board.
On request, it is possible to book lunch at a typical trattoria on Palmaria Island, or organise a light lunch with local wine tasting on board: contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail for more information.
There is a car park on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed-date booking and the weather conditions are not suitable for safely carrying out the activity (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be fully refunded. The guide may offer you an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to accept or decline these proposals. If you cannot reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 15 days from the activity start date. Within 14 and 8 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
