Full description

A full day of Snowboard-Alpinism in the magnificent scenery of Madonna di Campiglio and the Brenta Dolomites, accompanied by a Snowboard Master. What more can you ask for?

Designed for those who are already a little familiar with off-piste snowboarding and want to discover the world of snowboard mountaineering, during this tour we will learn how to choose the best track for the ascent with skins or snowshoes and the board attached to the rucksack before launching into the most exciting part: the descent in fresh snow.

From the summit at 2,440 metres, we will enjoy an incredible adrenalin rush and fun, descending along a track that will allow us to cover more than 1,000 metres of altitude difference without any plan or need for ascent, a true paradise for snowboarders!

What we will do

The day starts at 8.30 a.m. in Madonna di Campiglio, with the meeting point set at the departure point of the Grostè cableway, from which we will set off to discover some unique itineraries in the Brenta Dolomites.

We first ascend by cable car (ticket to be purchased on site, €12) and then by skins/snowshoes for approximately 450 metres. Once we reach the summit at 2,4440 metres, we descend along the east walls of the Pietra Grande peak to the little valley that leads to the Bocchetta dei 3 Sassi, between the Vagliana peak and the Corno di Flavona.

At around 12 noon we will face the legendary descent into Val Gelada, a track that offers shady areas with powder snow and more than 1,000 metres of descent to Passo Campo Carlo Magno.

The aim is to have maximum fun, but we will also take the opportunity to learn about the fundamental elements for safe snowboard mountaineering. We will learn about the safety kit (arva, shovel and probe) and how to choose the safest track by observing the environment and potential dangers.

The day ends at around 16:00.
