Discover the enchanting Val D'Arano with snowshoes on your feet. A certified guide will lead you along a beautiful 7 km itinerary, far from the hustle and bustle of Ovindoli's ski slopes.
You will face an easy route that will give you a breathtaking landscape, with the Val D'Arano framed by the mountains of the Sirente-Velino Regional Natural Park. Not only that, you will enjoy the beauty of the beech and hazelnut forests and the silence suspended in time typical of the mountains.

What we will do
The meeting with the guide is at 10 a.m. near Ovindoli (AQ). After the various presentations and the handing over of snowshoes and poles (included in the fee), we will be ready to set off.
Our snowshoe hike will lead us to discover Val d'Arano, whose beauty has earned it the title of the most enchanting valley on the Altipiano delle Rocche. It is a glacially suspended valley, framed by a crown of mountains belonging to the Sirente-Velino Regional Natural Park.
The guide will lead us along a comfortable and pleasant mountain path, so that we will get away from the most famous and popular ski area of Ovindoli. Along the 7 km ring-route, with a maximum altitude difference of 80 metres, we will cross beech and hazelnut forests while enjoying the pure mountain air.
Observing the landscape, we will also be able to recognise Mount Etra, Mount Savina, the Serra di Celano and Mount Sirente. We will be suspended in an unspoilt environment and surrounded by a muffled silence, allowing us to completely disconnect from our everyday lives.
The snowshoe hike lasts about four hours and ends with the return to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
The excursion is suitable for everyone over the age of 7. Children from 7 to 10 years pay the reduced rate of €15 (contact us to make a reservation).

Snowshoeing takes place on scheduled dates.
The itinerary may vary depending on weather conditions and the practicability of the trails.
Dogs are not allowed for safety reasons.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
