Full description
Do you know how animals learn something new? To find out, take this experience on an educational farm in the province of Alessandria.
You will learn about the learning processes that enable animals to acquire a range of behaviours through interactive activities and you will be able to spend half a day in their company, petting them and feeding them. Finally, you will enjoy a fantastic snack!
It will be an experience full of cuddles and curiosity!
What we will do
We will meet at the meeting point in Cantalupo Ligure (AL), where our guide will be waiting for us.
After an initial welcome and some explanation about the world of the farm, we will immediately get to know the animals that live there. We will make friends with the goats Alma and Freeda, the rooster Mirtillo, the hens Uva Spina and Fragola, the donkeys Domenico and Umberto, and finally the mares Calipso and Sandy.
To do this, we will move between the pens in which they live and will be able to pet, cuddle and feed them. As we try to interact with them, the guide will explain some interesting facts about their habits and learning processes. These explanations will be very useful for the interactive activities that we will carry out shortly afterwards to understand how these animals learn and, therefore, what is the best way to teach them. For example, we will understand how to teach them to follow a trail by sniffing!
Finally, after some final pampering, we will say goodbye to our new friends and conclude the experience with a delicious snack (included) of cake, scones, salami and typical cheeses.
The activity, including the snack, will last about 4½ hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for 12 years and over. Children under the age of 18 may only participate if accompanied by a responsible adult.
The facility where the activity takes place is not wheelchair-accessible, but is accessible to persons with reduced mobility.
Other information
The activity is available all year round and will be confirmed when a minimum of 2 participants are reached. It is not possible to participate only as an accompanying person.
