Have you ever driven a quad bike through abandoned mines, giant dunes and wild beaches?
Get on board and experience an adventure among the old mines of Montevecchio, the spectacular dunes of Piscinas, among the largest in Europe, and the incredible views of the Costa Verde. On the 70 km mostly dirt track you will cross fords, forest paths and old mining routes, discovering the wilder side of Sardinia.
4 hours of adrenaline between nature and history: are you ready to go?
What we will do
The appointment is at the time selected during the booking process at the meeting point in Montevecchio (SU). After a welcome from the guide, we will put on our helmets and take part in a briefing lasting about 30 minutes: we will learn how to drive the quad bike safely and receive all the information we need to tackle the 70 km route,85% of which is dirt road and only 15% asphalt.
Off we go! We will set off straight away towards our first stop: the historic Montevecchio mines, where we will make a brief stop to take photos and experience the atmosphere of this symbolic mining site.
We will then continue along the Strada dei minatori (miners' road), following a route through nature to the village of Ingurtosu, another evocative mining site. From here we will reach the spectacular dunes of Piscinas, among the largest in Europe.
We will then cross the ford of the river to skirt the Costa Verde coastline, a stretch of unspoilt beach that will give us splendid views. For the last stretch, we will cross mountains and undergrowth, with the option of choosing between a technical route or a quieter return on paved roads, depending on the group's preference.
Between briefing, preparation, a 3-hour quad bike ride and stops, the experience will take about 4 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The driver must be at least 18 years old and have a B licence. The passenger must be at least 10 years old.
Other information
The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 2 booked quads.
The price is per quad; each quad can carry 1 driver or 1 driver and 1 passenger (2 persons). During the excursion driver and passenger can swap driving if both are of age and have a B licence.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
