If your dream has always been to try sailing on a yacht, you can make it come true with the tour along the Roman coastline!
Starting from the marina in Rome, you will see the mouth of the river Tiber reaching Fiumicino after a journey of over 400 km. You can discover the coast to the north that leads to Santa Severa and Santa Marinella, or, sailing south, the coast that leads to Anzio and Nettuno, seaside resorts popular with tourists as well as Romans.
You can experience the thrill of being at the helm of the boat, like a real captain, or you can relax in the sun and dive into the water for a refreshing swim. In short, the ingredients for an unforgettable day are all there, all you have to do is book your place!
What we will do
The meeting is at the marina in Rome. Upon arrival, we will be greeted by the skipper who, before setting sail, will explain how sails are the boat's engine and how keel and sail trim serve to make the most of the wind. Once these procedures are completed, we can set sail and enjoy the excursion.
Having set sail from the port, we will be able to admire the Tiber River, which runs through the capital towards the end of its 400 km, arriving at Fiumicino on the Lazio coast. We will admire the coast to the north, towards Santa Severa and Santa Marinella, or to the south, towards Anzio and Nettuno, depending on weather conditions and the itinerary agreed with the skipper.
Anzio, a fishing resort, and Nettuno, with its frenetic nightlife, are popular with tourists and a favourite destination for Romans on summer weekends.
During the tour we can decide whether to relax in the sun, swim by diving off the boat, or try to take the helm or trim the sails, under the supervision of the skipper. The tour lasts a total of four hours and ends with the return to the port of departure.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is open to all and there are no age limits. However, children under the age of 18 must always be accompanied by an adult.
Not accessible by wheelchair and for persons with motor disabilities.
Other information
The tour is available from May to September and is confirmed with a minimum of five participants.
The 11.40-metre Sun Fast 37 is also available for events, birthdays, hen and stag parties. Dogs are not allowed on board.
