Explore the underwater treasures of theIsole dei Ciclopi Protected Marine Area with our boat and snorkelling tour!
A 2-hour excursion in which a marine biologist will reveal all the secrets of life underwater, teaching you to recognise the different species and marine habitats that characterise this place. You will swim among fascinating lava formations, sea breams and marvellous starfish, letting yourself be enveloped by the magic of these waters.
And if you wish, you can even add to this experience a delicious aperitif on board with typical Sicilian products!
What we will do
The appointment is at the diving centre in Aci Castello (CT), at the time selected during the booking process. The staff will welcome us and accompany us to the port (a 3-minute walk away) where our boat will be waiting for us.
Once all participants have boarded, we will set sail towards the majestic Faraglioni and make an initial stop of about 30 minutes to enjoy a dive with snorkel, mask and fins (included) and admire these fascinating rock formations up close.
Diving into the turquoise waters we will explore the seabed rich in marine life, including colourful fish and extraordinary volcanic formations. The marine biologist will explain the unique characteristics of the ecosystem and answer all our curiosities, making the experience even more engaging.
We will then continue in the direction of the picturesque Aci Castle for a second stop of about 30 minutes. Here too we will have the opportunity to dive again and discover the underwater wonders of theMarine Protected Area with the expert guidance of our biologist.
If we wish, we can also have an aperitif on board (to be selected when booking) based on delicious typical Sicilian products, accompanied by water, beer, alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks.
Finally, we will return to the starting point after about 2 hours of excursion.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone aged 10 years and over. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
To participate in the excursion including snorkelling, swimming skills are required.
The boat is not wheelchair-accessible.
Other information
The activity is bookable from June to October and is confirmed on reaching a minimum of 6 participants.
There is a refreshment area, WC, shower and changing room for changing at the end of the activity.
You will be on board an 11-metre-long boat equipped with a toilet and shower.
Dogs are allowed on board.
When purchasing, you can choose between "without aperitif" and "with aperitif" by selecting the corresponding option in the booking box.
