Full description
Experience a magnificent adventure in the woods of the Stelvio National Park, immersing yourself in nature and coming into contact with the wildlife that inhabits this wonderful mountain environment.
You will set off at dusk, when the sun hides behind the mountains, silence falls and the animals begin to move undisturbed in their habitat. You will be accompanied by a local guide who will tell you all the secrets of the forest and, with a bit of luck, you will have the privilege of seeing many animal species up close, including the king of the Stelvio: the deer.
This is Wildlife Watching, a full-scale adventure, with which you can combine the pleasure of discovery with an interest in nature!
What we will do
We will meet at 17:30 in Ossana, in the province of Trento. We will be welcomed by our guides and, after a short briefing on the activity, we will all move together by shuttle bus in the direction of the wooded areas of Val di Pejo. The transfer will last about 15 minutes and will take us to the entrance of a botanical trail. Our hike will start from there, we will start walking and we will enter the forest, which will gradually become thicker and... wild!
The Stelvio National Park is home to some of the most flourishing wildlife in the Alps: marmots, ibexes, chamois, roe deer, red deer, golden eagles and bearded vultures are just some of the species we will encounter on this Wildlife Watching. There are also numerous rare species and, always keeping a safe distance, we may be lucky enough to spot lynx, bears and wolves.
A local guide will lead us along the route, taking us to the spots where sightings are most frequent and telling us secrets, details and curiosities about the flora, fauna and mountain environment. After about two hours of walking and observation, we will arrive near some mountain huts, where we can take a restful break. On the way back, the adventure will become even more mysterious. Immersed in the darkness of the night, every little noise or rustle could be the sign of a friendly presence!
The activity lasts 3 hours in total and ends with the return to Ossana.

This activity takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays from May to September and is confirmed when there are at least 4 participants.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 15 days from the activity start date. Within 14 and 8 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
