Canyoning: what it is and how to practice it
Canyoning, or canyoneering, involves walking the course of a stream that flows through gorges carved into the rock. The characteristic elements of a canyoning route are the dips, toboggans (natural slides) and rope rappels down rock walls. Canyoning is often defined as a mix of water sports and mountaineering. In fact, the participant walks, climbs, jumps from one point to another, and sometimes even swims stretches. Canyoning requires the assistance of a mountain guide who provides the necessary equipment and helps participants when needed.
Canyoning Aosta Valley: the best trails
Among the best canyoning routes in the Aosta Valley, there are the Fer stream and the Chalamy stream. The latter, located in Vèrres, in the Mont Avic Regional Park, offers a more challenging variant and an easier one that can be practiced by children ages 12 and up.

Exciting experience! The instructors very competent and thorough and also very nice!!!! We were a very heterogeneous group in terms of age (min 12aa max 60aa) and we all enjoyed it!
