Did you know that the first Greek colony in Sicily was born in Taormina?
Get on a boat and discover its bay from a privileged perspective, that of the sea. Together with a skipper, you will sail for 2 hours among caves, coves and natural panoramas such as Capo Taormina,Isola Bella and the Bay of Mazzarò.
The final touch? A toast with prosecco and almond pastries to celebrate the beauty of the Sicilian coastline!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Giardini Naxos (ME). We will meet at the office and then be directed to the embarkation point. Awaiting us will be the skipper who will accompany us on our boat excursion in the Bay of Taormina!
We will begin our navigation along the coast admiring the statue of Nike at Capo di Naxos and the remains of Schisò Castle. We will continue to the Grotta del Giorno, once a fishermen's refuge and now a true marine ecosystem.
We will then pass Cape Taormina with its majestic stacks to reach the famous Isola Bella. In this nature reserve, we will make a 20-minute swim stop: we can dive to snorkel among starfish and coral or simply relax lulled by the waves.
The navigation will continue towards the Grotta Azzurra, the Bay of Mazzarò and the Bay of Sirens, an ancient Roman port where we will admire the seabed populated by the sea plant Posidonia. Along the way, the skipper will tell us curiosities about the historical hotels along the coastline, making the route even more interesting.
Before returning, we will enjoy a toast on board with prosecco, soft drinks, and traditional Sicilian almond pastries.
The activity will last a total of 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from 1 year of age; children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
For safety reasons, the excursion is not allowed for pregnant women.
The boat is not wheelchair accessible and is not suitable for persons with reduced mobility.

The activity takes place from April to October and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 participants.
The itinerary and stops may vary depending on weather and sea conditions.
The boat used is a motorboat or a 10-metre wooden boat (depending on availability) , equipped with an awning, sundeck and climbing ladder; the motorboat is also equipped with a shower. There are no toilets on board, but these are available from the office at the meeting point.
Unfortunately it is not possible to guarantee alternatives in the event of allergies or intolerances.
Smoking is not permitted on board.
Small dogs are welcome on board, subject to notification of their presence to the organisers.
On-site parking spaces are available for a fee. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
