3-hour boat tour on Lake Maggiore

The Romans were amazed and called it Lacus Maximus to emphasise its grandeur. Have you understood what we are talking about? Lake Maggiore, of course!

With this 3-hour boat tour you will have the opportunity to explore the Piedmontese and Lombardy shores, passing wonderful places such as Arona, Angera and the famous Borromean Islands.

The beautiful landscapes and the cheerfulness of the skipper will make the experience unique!

What we will do

We will meet at the meeting point in Castelletto sopra Ticino (NO), where our skipper will be waiting for us.

After an initial welcome, we will board the boat and begin our tour of Lake Maggiore!

Skirting Dormelletto, we will reach Arona, which lies on the Piedmont shore of the lake. We will be able to admire it from the boat while the skipper tells us the history of the Borromeo family and shows us the monument named after them: the Colossus of San Carlo Borromeo. We will then continue to Angera, located on the Lombard shore of the lake, and stop for a few minutes to see the beautiful Rocca.

After that we will pass through other villages overlooking the lake and home to magnificent villas, such as Meina, Lesa and Belgirate, and then sail to Stresa. From there we will see the jewel in the crown of Lake Maggiore: the enchanting Borromean Islands (Isola Bella, Isola Madre, Isola dei Pescatori). The skipper will tell us some interesting facts about them and then take us to the fascinating Hermitage of Santa Caterina, located in Leggiuno on the eastern shore.

Finally, we will reach the Spiaggia del Sasso in Ranco, where we will stop for about 30 minutes to take a dip in the water and sip a glass of prosecco (included). If we wish, we can even go ashore and reach a bar located near the mooring. After a little relaxation and a couple of souvenir photos, we will resume sailing towards Castelletto sopra Ticino.

The tour, which will end with a return to the starting point, will last a total of 3 hours.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. Participation is possible from the age of 15 onwards subject to the signature of a release form by a responsible adult. Children under the age of 15 may only participate if accompanied.

The boat is not accessible to people in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility.

Other information

The activity is available from April to September and will be confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 3 participants.

Attention! The itinerary may be subject to slight variations at the discretion of the skipper and weather conditions.

Theboat on which the experience will take place is an Open motorboat, equipped with comfortable leather seats, sun deck, awning, climbing ladder, radio with USB and Bluetooth connection, coffee table, minibar and compartments for storing bags. It is necessary to remain barefoot on board.

Dogs are not allowed on board.

The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport and free parking spaces are available on site.
