How about exploring the beauty of Sicily on an exceptional vehicle?
On this 3-hour quad bike tour from Partanna you will drive through enchanting landscapes, visit Poggioreale Vecchia and the Gibellina ghetto , and pass through magnificent olive groves and vineyards.
All accompanied by an expert guide who will make sure you have an unforgettable experience!
What we will do
The meeting point is 20 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Partanna (TP).
We will be welcomed by the guide, ready to provide us with all the information we need to tackle our excursion safely.
We will begin with a briefing of about 10 minutes during which we will be explained how to drive the quad bike and receive our helmet and under-helmet. After an initial stretch on the road, we will reach the old railway line, now surrounded by fields, olive groves and vineyards.
We will pass through two historical tunnels dating back to 1,840, a real plunge into the past, and then enter the Sinapa Forest. From there we will move on to the Gibellina ghetto, now a symbol ofcontemporary Sicilianart, and continue to Poggioreale Vecchia, a ghost town about which we will discover some curiosities thanks to the guide.
At Poggioreale we will stop at a café where, if we wish, we can taste some typical local products such as sweets and cannoli (not included). If time permits, on the way back we will also visit Partanna Cathedral and the bell tower of San Francesco before returning to our starting point.
The activity will last a total of 3 hours and covers an itinerary of 60 km, 90% of which will be on dirt roads.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 3. The driver must be at least 16 years old with a B1 licence or at least 18 years old with a B licence. Helmets for children are available.
Unaccompanied minors under the age of 18 may participate in the activity subject to signing a release form from a responsible parent. Unaccompanied minors who wish to participate as a passenger may ride the quad bike with the guide, paying the full fee. To request this, please contact the organisers in advance via the contact details in your booking confirmation e-mail.
The activity is accessible to people in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility. Please report this via the contact details in your booking confirmation email.
The activity is easy and suitable for beginners. The experience is not accessible to pregnant women.
Other information
The activity is available every weekend from October to April and will be confirmed when a minimum of 2 quads are reached.
Each quad bike can carry 1 driver or 1 driver + 1 passenger. During the ride, driver and passenger may alternate driving, if both have a licence.
Free parking is available and the meeting point can be reached by public transport. If requested in advance via the contact details in the booking confirmation e-mail, a shuttle service is available, the cost of which may vary depending on the distance from the meeting point.
Dogs are also allowed.
