In Solicchiata, in the province of Catania, you can visit Tenuta Montedolce for a fantastic tasting of four wines from producers Giovanni Rosso and Davide Fragonese. You will also have the opportunity to take a walk through the vineyards and visit the winery and discover all the wine-making processes that give life to this delicious nectar!

What we will do
The appointment is at the time selected in the calendar at Tenuta Montedolce in Solicchiata (CT), on the slopes of Etna. We will be welcomed by our guide, who will accompany us on a tour of discovery of the Giovanni Rosso Estate.
We will begin with a 20-minute walk through the terraced vineyards surrounding the estate. During the walk, which includes a short 5-minute climb on an almost entirely paved stretch, the guide will explain the characteristics of the volcanic terroir and the particularities of the work required to cultivate these extreme lands.
We will then continue with a cellar visit of about 15 minutes: here we will discover the secrets of the production processes and the specificities that make the wines of producers Giovanni Rosso and Davide Fregonese unique.
The highlight of the experience will be the guided wine-tasting, lasting about 1 hour, which will take place in the modern and elegant indoor room or on the panoramic terrace overlooking the vineyards. We will taste four glasses of wine: Etna Bianco DOP and Etna Rosso DOP by Giovanni Rosso, and Etna Rosato DOP and Etna Rosso Riserva DOP by Davide Fregonese.
To accompany the wines, we will enjoy a platter of local specialities (included) , including pecorino, caciotta, local cured meats, and extra virgin olive oil produced by the company. At the end of the activity, for those who wish, it will be possible to purchase the wines tasted!
The experience will last about 1. 5 hours in total .
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for 18 year olds and above. In fact, the wine tasting is reserved for adults only. Any accompanying minors and astemious persons may participate in the experience free of charge (non-alcoholic options other than water are not provided) .
The facility is not accessible to wheelchair users or persons with reduced mobility, but is accessible to pushchairs.

The activity takes place all year round and is confirmed on reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
