There is a Sardinia that cannot be seen from a sunbed on the beach: it is the Sardinia of nuraghi, military posts hidden in the hills and roads leading to Capo Caccia!
On this 4x4 tour from Alghero you will drive through the Porto Conte Park with a local guide between archaeology, trekking, snorkelling and Sardinian cuisine.
Get ready for a day of sea views, typical aperitifs, and lunch at an agriturismo in the Alghero countryside!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Alghero (SS) . Awaiting us will be the guide who will accompany us on this 4x4 excursion to discover the Porto Conte Park and the Alghero hinterland.
We will set off in the 4x4 van, crossing the coast until we reach the nuragic complex of Palmavera. Here we will take part in a guided tour lasting about 1 hour, during which we will learn about the history of the site, and before leaving we will enjoy a break at a local bar.
Afterwards, we will reach Monte Dolla, where we will visit a Second World War battery. Those who wish can walk through the underground tunnels before continuing on a short 20-minute trek to Monte Murone.
From here we will observe the panorama of the Porto Conte Park with views of Punta Giglio and Capo Caccia. During the stop, an aperitif (included) will be served with typical Sardinian products such as botargo, cheese, sausage and chips, accompanied by wine, beer or soft drinks.
Once the aperitif is over, we will resume the 4x4 route towards a farmhouse immersed in the Alghero countryside, where a traditional lunch (included) with local products will be waiting for us. During the preparation of the courses, those who wish can also try their hand at making typical Sardinian sweets such as seadas or biscuits.
In the afternoon, we will reach the beach for a free snorkelling break before returning to Alghero.
The activity will last a total of 7 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The experience is not accessible to persons with motor disabilities or walking difficulties.

The excursion is available from June to September and is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.
The organiser uses an 8-seater 4x4 van, equipped with air conditioning and a stereo for music. During the excursion, the vehicle will be driven exclusively by him.
