Full description
If you want to get to know the wildest and most unspoilt areas of Sardinia, you absolutely cannot miss our one-day 4x4 tour.
You will have the opportunity to reach the top of Mount Gentilis and discover incredible places such as the sand dunes of Piscinas and the famous Red River.
You will walk along dirt tracks, surrounded by lush nature, and admire the former mining facilities of Montevecchio. On the way, you might even encounter deer and fallow deer - in short, it will be a truly unforgettable adventure!
What we will do
The appointment is at 9.00 a.m. in San Nicolò d'Arcidano (OR), at the town hall square. Here, our vehicles will be waiting for us and we will have an introductory briefing.
The first part of the tour will take us up to the summit of Mount Gentilis, from which we will admire an impressive panorama of the Gulf of Oristano and the Marina di Arbus. Immediately afterwards we will descend to reach the Costa Verde, with its junipers shaped by the wind and its crystal-clear waters.
In the Portu Maga area we will stop for a packed lunch break (not included, to be paid for by participants). We will then resume our journey heading towards the sand dunes of Piscinas, crossed by the Fiume Rosso (Red River), so called because of its characteristic colour.
We will travel along a winding stretch and arrive at the former mining facilities of Montevecchio, a site of great charm. Along the way in this wilderness we may spot some deer or fallow deer.
We will return to our starting point after an exciting 10-hour tour.

The 4x4 tour is available from November to April. Please arrive 30 minutes before the departure time.
The booking will be confirmed when a minimum number of 3 participants is reached.
When booking, you can choose between 2 options: "tour in 4x4" with packed lunch paid for by participants or "tour + lunch" which includes a lunch of typical products such as cheese and cold cuts. Inform the guide in case of intolerances, allergies or other dietary requirements.
Small dogs that can be held are allowed: please inform us of their presence after booking confirmation. If the dog is large, however, it will pay the same fee as a passenger.
Car seats will be provided for small children on request.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
