Ponza is perfect for those who change their minds every ten minutes. A dip in a cove, an aperitif in the harbour, a cave to explore, a different beach for the afternoon: with your own dinghy, you decide the route!
Hire a dinghy in Ponza and sail in complete freedom amongst the wild coves of Palmarola or the cliffs of the crescent-shaped island. With a 6-metre boat, a nimble 40 CV Suzuki engine and space for 6 people, you’ll spend a whole day feeling like a real captain.
What we will do
The meeting point is in Ponza (LT). Our staff will be waiting for you there and, once the necessary formalities have been completed, will hand over the boat to you.
The Scamar Joy inflatable is 6 metres long and fitted with a 40 CV Suzuki engine. No boat licence is required to operate it. On board you’ll find an awning, radio/Bluetooth, a fresh water shower, a sun deck, cushions and a cool box (on request) .
The staff will show you how everything works during a quick briefing. They’ll explain everything you need to know to sail safely and independently, from instructions on how to raise and lower the engine to how to drop anchor.
You’ll also receive valuable advice on possible itineraries: you can head to Palmarola, the uninhabited and unspoilt island just opposite Ponza, or explore the entire coastline of the island, including the famous Chiaia di Luna beach, a true gem that has earned Ponza its nickname as the ‘moonlit island’.
We will hand over the dinghy with a full fuel tank (100-litre capacity) and fuel consumption will be calculated upon return, by 6. 00 pm.
Who it is aimed at
The chartering and driving of the boat is for adults only. A boat licence is not required.
Passengers of all ages are welcome on board.
The dinghy is not wheelchair-accessible.
Other information
The experience takes place from May to September.
Attention! Fuel is not included and must be paid on return according to consumption, in cash or by card.
No deposit is required on site.
Dogs are allowed on board.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
